SAHAT Center

SAHAT Center is Swedish-Somaliland partnership that aims to establish the first training academy for Somaliland athletes. The Center will nurture athletes that compete on international level as well as provide quality education to its students that prepares them to become productive citizens who positively contribute to society.

SAHAT Center will be based nearby Sheekh for strategic reasons, and construction of the academy will begin in 2023.

Sheekh is located in the north-western Sahil province of Somaliland, and historically the city is an educational place. For training purposes Sheekh is well suited as it is 1500m elevated above sea level.
